Jesus' words above are no different from the words of a loving father warning his children of the certain danger ahead. As He relays the future of those who will follow Him, His heart goes out to them and we see such compassion and love for His flock.
In Open Doors, we believe that the heart of God bleeds, is hurt, and in pain when He sees His church being persecuted. That's why we want our hearts to be just like the heart of God: bleeding for the persecuted church! Thus, launching our banner My Heart Bleeds.
Starting 2012, we want a more personal and deeper remembrance of the persecuted church. We want our hearts to bleed for the suffering part of the body of Christ.
My Heart Bleeds is a lifestyle. It is about you and me loving God and His people. We want to be known as a group of people who passionately carry the message of love, hope, faith, forgiveness, suffering and grace to the world. This is the story of the church. This is "our" story. And we hope to continually challenge the Christians to be the voice for their persecuted brothers and sisters and live a different lifestyle.
