My Heart Bleeds

Be a voice for the cries of the persecuted!

This year, Open Doors Philippines (ODP) wants a more personal and deeper remembrance of the persecuted church. We want our hearts to bleed for the suffering part of the body of Christ.

"My Heart Bleeds" is the banner ODP will be carrying this 2012 and onwards. It is not a campaign but more of a message. It is a lifestyle. It is about you and me loving God and His people. We want to be known as a group of people who passionately carry the message of love, hope, faith, forgiveness, suffering and grace to the world. This is the story of the church. This is "our" story. And we hope to continually challenge the Christians to be the voice for their persecuted brothers and sisters and live a different lifestyle.

With this, "My Heart Bleeds" (MHB) was officially launched in last year’s ODP Donors’ Gathering at Wheatberry, Quezon City. Not only did the donors and supporters who attended have a glimpse of this message, but they also heard exclusive and unpublished stories and testimonies of victories and successes of our brothers and sisters in the midst of persecution. The night was filled with praise and thanksgiving as 97 donors and supporters of the ministry saw how God has been moving in those restricted countries through their partnership. It was also a time for them to meet and have fellowship with the staff working behind and in the frontlines of the field work. The gathering became an opportunity for re-commitment in continuously reaching out to the persecuted church whether as an advocate in their own churches, as a prayer partner, and as financial donor.

The MHB Prayer Journal and Button Pins were also released in the event to continuously campaign the banner and raise funds for 2012. Contact us on how you can have your own journal and pins! Add and visit us on Facebook (Open Doors Phils) to see more pictures!
