about perscution

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” 2 Tim 3:12

What is Christian persecution?

Over 340 million Christians around the world are persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ.

Christian persecution is any hostility experienced as a result of proclaiming the name of Jesus. It can look different for each of the millions of believers who face persecution every day. Some experience rejection and isolation from their families, friends and communities. Others are denied access to basic needs like water, food and health care. Some face violent abuse, imprisonment and even death.

World Watch List

Every year, Open Doors publishes the World Watch List – a ranking of 50 countries where it is most dangerous to follow Jesus. The World Watch List shows us where persecution is on the rise, how God is at work, and where the gospel is advancing.
